Playa del Confital sits on the Atlantic coast by Las Palmas, reached on foot along established coastal paths from the La Isleta side of the city. There is no dedicated beach parking, so most visitors use urban parking in Las Palmas and walk in. Las Palmas city buses provide the public transport link, also followed by a walk to the coast. The route crosses open coastal ground, so stay on marked paths, wear sturdy footwear, and allow time for uneven sections. The shore is pebbles and stone rather than soft sand. A thick mat, solid shoes for entering the water, wind protection, sun protection, water and food make a short stay more comfortable. The water is open Atlantic with waves and currents. There is no regular lifeguard presence, so check conditions before swimming, stay in shallow water when surf is up, and avoid rocky or exposed sections. There are no toilets, showers or food outlets at the beach. There is also little natural shade and high sun exposure, so morning visits often feel easier because wind and light can be calmer. Weather remains mild through much of the year, with warmer and drier months from May to October. Use is generally quiet to moderate, with more people on calm weekends. There is no admission charge for beach access and no gate, but access remains open and natural. Carry out all waste, respect the coastal ground, and plan to be fully self-sufficient. Allow extra time for the return walk, especially when light fades or wind rises, and keep belongings compact for the uneven ground.
