Platja dels Enlliscalls is an undeveloped rocky cove near Salou, best approached as a simple on-foot outing rather than a serviced beach day. Reach the shore along coastal paths, then expect uneven rock underfoot on the final approach and around the bathing area. There is no dedicated parking at the cove, so visitors generally use parking in nearby Salou and walk in. Public transport also ends in Salou, with the last section on foot. Wear footwear suitable for rock, as surfaces can be slippery and the entry into the water is rocky. The seabed is rocky and water clarity is generally good, though calmness varies with wind and sea state. Morning often offers calmer water and lighter use, while afternoons can feel warmer and more exposed. There is very little natural shade and no shelter, with high sun exposure across the rock platforms around midday. Bring water, food, sun protection, and everything needed for swimming and sunbathing, because there are no shops or drink outlets at the cove. There are no toilets, showers, lifeguard service, or gated hours; daytime visits for swimming and sunbathing are typical. The warm summer season from June to September is the most practical period, while cooler months are more unsettled. Small children may find the setting difficult because of rocky entry, uneven ground, and lack of services. Check posted signs for local rules, keep to paths, and respect neighbouring properties. Sea conditions can change, so enter the water carefully and avoid exposed rocks when waves are present.
