Jerolim lies just off Hvar town in Split-Dalmatia County and is accessible only by water. Most visitors use seasonal water taxis and boat transfers from Hvar harbour, then walk short distances on paths to reach different coves. There is no parking on the island itself; any parking is in Hvar town before boarding. The island is an open natural area without gates, but boat service generally operates in daytime in season, so plan for a morning to late afternoon visit and confirm return connections before you settle for the day. The shore is rock, pebble and concrete platforms with rocky entries into clear Adriatic water that can be deeper in places. Swim footwear helps on uneven surfaces. Shade is limited, with some pine cover but much exposed rock, and sun exposure is high, so bring sun protection, water and a towel or mat. A towel or mat makes concrete and rock surfaces more comfortable for longer stays. Facilities are limited and seasonal, centered on a bar and restaurant area with basic toilets nearby; showers and regular lifeguard service are not expected. Visitors often bring additional water and snacks. Conditions are warm and dry in summer, cooler and quieter outside summer when boat service is reduced. The best window is typically June to September. Crowds are moderate to busy in high summer and lighter in shoulder season. Allow a half-day to full-day depending on weather and boat times, and keep to marked naturist coves for clothing-optional use. Allow extra time to find a comfortable spot, as privacy and space vary by cove and time of day in season.
