Fyriplaka is an open sandy beach on the south coast of Milos with access at all times and no gate. Visitors arrive by road, use informal parking above the shore, then follow a short path down to the sand. Parking capacity is limited, so morning arrival works better in summer when the central shore becomes moderate to busy. There is no reliable direct public transport, and most visitors depend on a private vehicle or taxi. The surface is sand, with a sandy seabed and clear water that ranges from calm to moderately wavy. Conditions are best judged on arrival, as wind can change the sea during shoulder seasons. There is no lifeguard service, so swimming is unsupervised and visitors stay within personal limits and check depth before entering. Facilities are limited to none. Expect no reliable toilets, showers, or regular food service. Bring drinking water, food, sun protection, and everything needed for a half-day stay, since there is nowhere to buy supplies on the sand. Little natural shade means a parasol, hat, and sunscreen matter across the open shore, especially around midday. High sun exposure continues through midday, while morning and late afternoon offer milder light and slightly fewer people for swimming and sunbathing. Warm dry summers from June to September suit swimming and sunbathing, with the sea generally more settled. Shoulder seasons are cooler and can be windy, which affects comfort for nude sunbathing and time spent without shelter. The uneven path and soft sand limit mobility access, so the shore is not suited for wheelchairs. Dogs have unclear rules, so check posted signs and keep animals under control and away from other bathers. Observe any local signs on access, safety, and mixed use, and take all rubbish away when leaving.
