The final approach is natural and uneven, with sand, grass and earth underfoot and some roots near the tree line. There is no paved promenade or formal entrance, so sturdy footwear for the walk and bare feet at the water is practical. Parking is informal along roads near Sandberg, followed by a short walk to the shore. Public transport is limited; most visitors travel by regional train or bus toward Zossen and continue by bicycle or on foot. Cycling is a common option in this lake region. Arrive with everything you need, as the site is largely natural with minimal facilities and no permanent kiosks or rentals expected. There are no toilets or showers directly at the bathing area, and no lifeguard service, so swimming is at your own risk. The bathing area is open during daylight with no fixed opening hours and no admission fee expected. The best period for lake bathing is June through August, when water temperatures are most comfortable. Late morning to afternoon gives the most sun and warmth on the open shore. Sun exposure is high, with only limited natural shade from trees at the edge of the clearing, so bring sun protection, water and food. The lake water is typically calm and shallow near the bank, with a natural bottom.
