Cala Fustam

Cala Fustam is an undeveloped cove near es Migjorn Gran on Menorca, in the Balearic Islands. Access is on foot by coastal footpath, with arrival also possible from the sea. There is no parking at the cove, so visitors use parking areas further inland and walk in over uneven natural ground. There is no public transport to the beach. The route and shore are unsuitable for wheelchairs or visitors needing step-free access. The surface combines sand with rock areas, and entry to the water may include stone and uneven seabed. Clear water generally allows swimming and floating, but wind and swell can change conditions quickly during the day. There are no facilities at Cala Fustam. Visitors should bring water, food, sun protection, sturdy footwear and a bag for rubbish. There are no toilets, showers, food outlets, sunbeds or lifeguards, and there is no rubbish collection or cleaning service. Open access means there are no set hours or tickets, and visits often last only a few hours because of the lack of services. Morning and midday give the strongest direct sun in the cove, while cliffs and vegetation provide only limited natural shade. June to September offers the warmest and driest weather for swimming and sunbathing. The cove is usually quiet with few visitors, so arrival earlier in the day helps secure a comfortable place on the limited shore. Visitors seeking privacy should leave space between groups, keep noise low, and take all belongings and rubbish away when leaving. Confident swimmers check conditions before entering the water.
