A couple of years ago on a hot July day I decided to skip a day off work and go as a day visitor to a nudist club near to where I was working.
I had signed in and was just getting my day bag out of the car when a young lady pulled up and asked me if this was the Croft club. I told her she was right and directed her to where she had to go and register. I went in to the club and settled myself down to enjoy the day. I used to be less careful than I am now. I have in the past gone nude on sometimes fairly busy Spanish beaches, carrying nothing and walking purposefully past them for several miles. It is not illegal there. People would notice, but few seemed at all bothered. Only once did anyone (a man) object on the specific grounds that children might see me. As we know, children take no notice of simple nudity, but I did feel nervous because I then felt vulnerable and had no means at all to cover-up.
I occasionally experienced groups of two or three women expressing obvious approval that I was nude, not that I was looking for that. I always avoided single women who were not nude or top-free so as not to make them feel uncomfortable or threatened. It was interesting to observe how some couples saw me nude and then removed their clothing. That was in the past.

I went to a nude beach for the first time two weeks ago in CA. (Black's Beach) I was alone, and as a guy, was a bit concerned about seeming like a perv and not wanting to be gawked at by gay guys. So I chose a spot on the beach seemed relatively safe. Not completely isolated, but not near anyone. Well, after I worked up the nerve to shed my clothes, it felt great. . Skinny-dipped while family was clothed. When I was about 13 years old I went out on our pontoon boat with my mother, aunt, and sister. My mother and aunt were fishing and my sister and I decided to swim. For some reason I was wearing shorts, not a bathing suit. My mother approved of me swimming in my jockey shorts. Well, jockey are not made for swimming. So I took them off. My sister was enjoying having me swim nude while she was clothed. When done Skinny-dipping swimming, and after telling my mother I did not have anything on, I had to get out of the water and onto the deck of the pontoon. My mom was fine with that. So I got out and wrapped a towel around me.
. Drove across Alligator Alley in the nude. It was about ten at night, very dark out there. I disrobed in a secluded area of a rest stop, got into my car and enjoyed a naked drive until reaching the other side.

I guess my introduction to nudism was at my boyfriend's house back in the 90's. We went nude together whenever his mom wasn't home. Taking nudity out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, the living room, or even his backyard for some sunbathing was a new experience for me, and one that I really enjoyed.
At that time I still lived with my parents and can remember coming home one afternoon to find the house empty and immediately taking off my clothes to see what a "solo" nude experience was like. I enjoyed that too, and soon was going privately nude in my room even when family was home. Once, my older brother came in and stood there grinning at me as I was laying naked on my bed reading a book. He said, "What are you, some kind of nudist?" I think I said something elegant like, "Get out, jerk!" but afterward was pleased to think to myself that I probably was becoming a nudist.

My first time nude in public wasn't meant to be public. I was a young man about 18 years old, and had enjoyed being naked for several years - but only when I was alone.
This summerday, I went to a remote beach, and walked to a remote spot and stripped naked. I was laying down, and reading a book, when a woman - about 30 years old and her 5-6 year old child came walking.
I was brought up with the idea, that nudity was OK for women, but that a man without clothes was ugly or offending. So I was afraid, that the woman should be angry, when she saw that I was naked.
