Back in 1997 when I was 15 years old I had a 'Saturday job' (except it was on Sundays) at the first gym/fitness centre in town. Then every business was closed on Sundays including the gym. Well yesterday I finally had the chance to bare the natural, and walk into the sun. To swim carefree in this world. in para- dice.
The beaches in the sun. The feeling of the air on my body and the coolness of the clear clean salt waters of the carabean ocean were beyond words. to walk in the most natural and free way possible, like it was meant to be be. Without a soul to care. their were hundreds others around
but they also were swimming carefree in this wonderful place, watching schools of fish swim by, and talking to each other like they were best friends. Others were out walking on the fine white sands of the beach. We were talking and unashamed, floating and swimming easily in the beautiful blue waters of the bay, the sun warming us with its intense life giving rays from above. Gone were the problems i have had in the past with a swimsuit filling up with air and sand and binding in the worst possible of ways. It was wonderful not to have to sit in a soggy swimsuit for a change. Walking down the beach could not have been easier because even though we all looked a little different, we were all really the same, without any racial, social or sexual barriers to overcome.

My first experience was at a club in South Carolina. I told my wife we were going to try something different and I told her about my ides. She wasn't really convinced I would go through with it but her doubts were erased when we pulled into the gate with our camper. I had been a home nudist for quite some time. My wife generally wouldn't join in, but had no problem with my enjoyment. At last we found ourselves on a cruise with a stop at St. Martin. (Many of you can see where I'm going with this!)
Anyway, we were "on the tour" when the bus stopped at Orient Beach. The stop was obviously designed to allow the tourists to gawk, but my wife and I walked down to the sand. I said to my wife "I always wondered if I had the nerve to try this- do you dare me?" Her answer was "go for it!" That was all I needed to hear. First time nude in public? That's a good question. So young that I can't remember. My maternal grand-parents were practical and frugal, and that set the attitude towards clothing. Don't get your clothes dirty. "If you're going to play in the mud, take your clothes off."

I love reading about people's nude debuts, because they all have the same basis in the tale. Possibly terror...followed by a 'Wow!!!' feeling. I've yet to read anyone who has said '...so I took my clothes off, freaked, and dressed again'. There's something quite basic about the human condition that means most people enjoy the experience of, at the very least, naked swimming. I suspect there's something buried deep in the soul of every human being that centuries of 'progress' have not erased.

Last August my wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Toronto. About a month before we left I told her about a nude beach that I wanted us to go to.
Well her reaction was no way shes going to take her clothes off and couldnt believe that I would. Well the day finally came that we were headed to the beach. My wife still making it clear that her clothes are staying on. So we headed to the Ferry Boat that takes you to the Island and my stomach was doing flip flops. My first time nude in public was at Haulover Beach. I always thought about it but for one reason or another would make excuses not to go. Finally decided to stop making excuses and at least try it once to see if I would enjoy the experience.
